TSHEGOFATSO CHOENYANE, is a multi-talented designer,and creative artisan, celebrated for their ability to blend art, design, and functionality into immersive experiences. With a background in Interior Design and BSc Dietetics, they possess a unique understanding of how environments affect well-being, combining aesthetics with purpose in every project they undertake.

A South African native, Tshego’s background in Interior Design, which laid the foundation for their deep expertise in crafting thoughtful, visually captivating spaces. Over the years, they have honed their skills in creating luxury interiors, exhibition designs, and bespoke furniture pieces. As a furniture designer, they are known for producing abstract, functional pieces that elevate spaces into artistic expressions, using materials such as clay and textiles to evoke emotion and engagement. Designing furniture & set designs to the well-known african luxury brand, MAXHOSA AFRICA.

Beyond interiors, Tshego is also the founder of Gasm( studios & spaces), which aims to make people and spaces look and feel like art, through exciting and evoking designs.

She has launched Borwa, a culinary design studio that fuses food with design in experiential dining for high-end fashion brands. This studio, like much of their work, celebrates Southern Hemisphere creativity, exploring the intersection of art, design, and food through bespoke dining experiences.

Their wide-ranging practice also includes set design, where they curate unique environments for exhibitions, pop-ups, and brand presentations. Their distinctive approach integrates their background in dietetics, where the science of nourishment and well-being informs their designs for spaces and experiences that enrich the senses.

With a talent for storytelling through space, furniture, and food, Tshego is a dynamic force in contemporary design, continuously pushing the boundaries of what it means to live, feel, and interact with art. They also use their platform to highlight African creatives, showcasing talent from the continent on their website.
